Question by Mermaid82: Anyone know where I can find a vintage Barbie costume?
I'm thinking of being Barbie for Halloween, and I would like to find the original outfit Barbie came in when she debuted...the black and white striped swimsuit. All I can find online is some 60s hippie looking costume and the Spotlight Barbie costume. Any ideas?

I had the same plan. The only one I’ve found was called the “BARBIESQUE” at http://www.getgoretro.com/ in the one piece swimsuit collection, but it’s $ 115. I’m probably just going to make my own. That way, I spend a lot less and the fabric will be more like Barbie’s was.
On the other hand, if I buy it..it’d be a super cute swimsuit for next summer.
